In afternoon trading, Technology & Communications stocks lead with a 0.5% gain. Enphase Energy Inc. (ENPH) and First Solar Inc (FSLR) stand out, up 3.8% and 2.8% respectively. Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) is down 0.3% but up 13.94% year-to-date. ENPH is down 6.92% and FSLR is up 43.19% year-to-date.

The Consumer Products sector follows closely, up 0.4%. Tesla Inc (TSLA) and General Motors Co (GM) both show gains of 2.4%. iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF (IYK) is down 0.2% midday but up 12.71% year-to-date. TSLA is down 6.14% and GM is up 36.44% year-to-date.
