The Wellcome Sanger Institute, a key player in the Human Genome Project, is using NVIDIA accelerated computing to analyze DNA sequences. Their Cancer, Ageing, and Somatic Mutation program studies cancer genomes. By switching to NVIDIA DGX systems and Parabricks software, they reduced runtime, costs, and energy consumption significantly. Collaboration with Schneider Electric aims to further boost efficiency in their DNA sequencing lab. at a recent NVIDIA GTC conference, Schneider Electric announced the release of AI data center reference designs tailored for NVIDIA accelerated computing clusters. Sanger Institute representatives will discuss their work at an NYC Climate Week panel hosted by The Economist.
