ANZ settles two class actions involving car loans and superannuation products for $68 million

Australian lender ANZ agrees to pay A$99 million to settle two class actions from 2020. One class action involves car loans and the other involves superannuation products. “Flex commissions” paid to car dealers were alleged in the first case, while excessive fees and commissions to financial advisers were claimed in the second. Commission arrangements were banned in 2018.
