Rubrik launches Data Security Posture Management solution for Microsoft 365, but faces competition

Rubrik launched its Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solution for Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance data security and governance. With growing sensitive data in Microsoft 365, DSPM provides visibility and control over data classification, labeling, and access permissions, ensuring confidential information remains protected.
In Q2 of fiscal 2025, Rubrik saw a 50% increase in subscription revenues, reaching $191.3 million. Subscription ARR grew by 40% to $919 million. The company’s expanding client base, including partnerships with major industry players like Pure Storage and Google Cloud, has been a significant growth driver.
Despite strong demand for Rubrik’s solutions, intense competition in the market and macroeconomic challenges may impact its revenue growth in fiscal 2025. For Q3, revenues are expected between $216.5 million and $218.5 million, with a non-GAAP loss per share between 40 cents and 46 cents.
Rubrik faces competitive pressure from vendors like Cohesity and IBM. The stock’s valuation may be stretched at this point, and it currently holds a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). Investors are advised to stay away from investing in Rubrik stock currently.
