Documents revealed OpenAI’s transition from a nonprofit to a company valued at $157 billion. The company was founded in 2015 to create general AI for the benefit of all humanity. OpenAI raised $1 billion, generated $40 million in revenue, and had a net loss of $97 million in 2020. CEO Sam Altman stated OpenAI is “just at the beginning.”
