In early trading, Amazon.com leads the Dow Jones with a 2.9% gain, up 23.3% year to date. Conversely, Verizon Communications is the worst performer, down 1.2% today but up 16.7% for the year.
Coca-Cola is down 0.8% while Intel is up 2.2% on the day, making moves in the market.
