Gecko Sec, a team from EasyA hackathon, is heading to Y Combinator. They help Web3 developers code securely, focusing on supporting projects on Web3. Y Combinator, founded in 2005, has a reputation for helping startups grow. EasyA has become a launchpad for Web3 talent, educating over 100,000 developers on Polkadot ecosystem.
Jeevan Juttla, a former Binance Security Engineer, credits EasyA for their journey to Y Combinator. Artemiy Malyshau acknowledges EasyA for pushing them out of their comfort zone. EasyA has hosted successful hackathons, leading to the creation of 56 startups. Alumni have founded startups valued at over $3 billion and received funding from top VCs.
EasyA’s impact includes launching 55 games at a Polkadot hackathon at Harvard University. The event featured NFTs on Unique Network’s parachain and a $20,000 prize pool. Cognition AI, founded by EasyA hackathon winner Walden Yan, reached a $2B valuation in April. Walden pitched his idea at an EasyA hackathon at Harvard in 2022, showcasing the potential of blockchain technology.
