Falco Resources Ltd expressed gratitude to all who participated in the public hearings on the Falco Horne 5 Project, wrapping up in the Long Point First Nation community. Over 90 briefs were presented during the Commission of Inquiry, reflecting both support and concerns for the project. Falco plans to carefully analyze all submissions and collaborate on potential improvements.
Initiatives proposed by Falco aim to minimize environmental impact, receiving positive feedback and mobilization from stakeholders. Vice-President Hélène Cartier emphasized the company’s commitment to address community concerns for the project’s harmonious development. The forthcoming BAPE report, due in December 2024, will factor in all considerations and recommendations from the public hearings.
Falco’s CEO, Luc Lessard, expressed appreciation for the valuable input from participants and confidence in the transformative potential of the Falco Horne 5 Project for Rouyn-Noranda. The project, situated in the historically rich Noranda Mining Camp, has the capacity to spur economic and social growth while respecting the environment. The BAPE report release in January 2025 will further inform the project’s progress.
