Pending home sales in September rose by 7.4%, reaching the highest level since March. All four major U.S. regions saw an increase in pending sales compared to the previous month, with the West leading the way. Year-over-year, contract signings grew in the Northeast and West, and remained steady in the Midwest and South. The National Association of Realtors expects a rise in existing-home sales over the next two years, with slower home price appreciation and an increase in sales volume. The median existing-home price is projected to increase, while mortgage rates are expected to fluctuate.
