Sam’s Club is opening an all-digital store in Grapevine, Texas, requiring customers to use a smartphone app to scan and pay for items as they shop. The store will feature online-only products, such as a 12-foot Christmas tree and lab-grown diamond, as well as expanded e-commerce pickup and delivery services.
With the reopening of its tornado-damaged Dallas-area store, Sam’s Club is embracing digital innovations to enhance the shopping experience. The location will serve as a testing ground for new features and technologies, showcasing the retailer’s commitment to a future of digital engagement for its customers.

The retailer consolidated private labels, streamlined product offerings, and raised hourly wages ahead of the holiday season. The company’s U.S. comparable sales grew 5.2% in the most recent quarter, with a 22% increase in e-commerce sales.

This move comes in line with their aggressive expansion plan which will see the opening of 30 new clubs over the next 5 years.
