Airbnb reported third-quarter earnings slightly below analyst estimates but beat revenue expectations. Revenue was $3.73 billion, up 10% from the previous year. Net income was $1.37 billion, or $2.13 per share. The company expects fourth-quarter revenue between $2.39 billion and $2.44 billion and is focusing on expanding into new markets globally.

Adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter was $2 billion, up 7% year over year. Gross booking value was $20.1 billion, higher than expected. Airbnb reported 123 million nights and experiences booked, a growth of 8% from last year. The company saw hosting growth across all regions and market types with more than 8 million active listings.

Average daily rates increased to $164 in the third quarter. Airbnb has removed over 300,000 listings since last year to improve listing quality. The company will hold a quarterly call with investors at 4:30 p.m. ET to discuss the results and future plans for growth and expansion.
