Alaska Energy Metals received assay results from three drill holes in the Canwell claim block, showing significant polymetallic mineralization. The district-wide potential of the Nikolai Ultramafic Intrusions has been demonstrated, located near the Eureka deposit. The confirmation of nickel mineralization opens up potential for additional nickel mineralization systems in the Nikolai district, justifying further drilling at Canwell.

In the Canwell 2024 drill program, three holes were completed, each targeting different prospects – Emerick, Odie, and Upper Canwell. Each hole intersected significant nickel equivalent mineralization, with the Upper Canwell prospect revealing blebby nickel sulfides. The drill program provided valuable data on mineralized ultramafic systems in interior Alaska, encouraging further exploration.

The Emerick prospect (CAN-24-001) had difficulty estimating sulfides due to intense fracturing but intersected 56.5 meters of 0.40% NiEq mineralization. The Odie prospect (CAN-24-002) encountered 193.6 meters of 0.42% NiEq, and the Upper Canwell prospect (CAN-24-003) revealed 429.3 meters of 0.39% NiEq, including a 1.4 meter section at 0.93% NiEq.

The nickel mineralization in the Canwell claim block has opened up potential for additional mineralization systems in the Nikolai district. The assay results from the drill program provide valuable information for further exploration and potential resource expansion. The confirmation of nickel mineralization has set the stage for continued advancement in understanding the geology of the property.
