Autodesk (NASDAQ:ADSK) shares fell over 7% in pre-market trading following third-quarter results that slightly beat expectations but failed to impress investors. The design software company reported adjusted EPS of $2.17, exceeding the Street’s estimate of $2.12, with revenue up 11% year-over-year to $1.57 billion, slightly above analyst projections.

For the fourth quarter, Autodesk issued mixed guidance, with adjusted EPS expected to be between $2.10 and $2.16, in line with analyst expectations. Revenue guidance of $1.623 billion to $1.638 billion was slightly higher than the consensus estimate of $1.62 billion.

Despite challenges, Autodesk maintained a solid net revenue retention rate of 100% to 110% on a constant currency basis, indicating steady customer retention. However, the company experienced a decline in GAAP and non-GAAP operating margins, with GAAP margin down two percentage points to 22% and non-GAAP margin down three percentage points to 36%.
