Canada stocks reach new all-time high with gains in various sectors and rising stocks

Canada stocks closed higher on Thursday, with gains in various sectors driving the market to a new all-time high. Bausch Health Companies Inc and Energy Fuels Inc were among the top performers, while Aya Gold & Silver Inc and Saputo Inc saw declines. The Toronto Stock Exchange saw more rising stocks than declining ones.

The S&P/TSX Composite options implied volatility index rose 1.34%, while Gold Futures dipped slightly to $2,661.80 per troy ounce. Crude oil prices also saw a slight increase, with January delivery at $68.88 a barrel. The CAD/USD and CAD/EUR exchange rates remained relatively stable.

Overall, the US Dollar Index Futures increased by 0.07% to 106.13. The market showed positive momentum with rising stocks and stable commodity prices, reflecting a generally positive trading day.
