The NHL’s team values are on the rise, with the average team worth $1.92 billion. Revenue growth, a hard salary cap, and revenue-sharing ensure profitability. For the 2023-24 season, hockey-related revenue hit $6.3 billion, with record sponsorship and gate receipt revenue. The average team posted EBITDA of $45 million on revenue of $223 million.

The Toronto Maple Leafs top the list with a value of $4 billion, followed by the New York Rangers at $3.5 billion. The Montreal Canadiens are third at $3.1 billion, with the Los Angeles Kings close behind at $2.85 billion. The Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers round out the top six teams in terms of value. Other teams in the league also command high valuations, showing the NHL’s strong financial position and growth trajectory.
