Coty (NYSE:COTY) reported weaker-than-expected first-quarter results, with adjusted earnings per share at $0.15, missing analyst estimates of $0.20. Revenue increased by 2% year-over-year to $1.67 billion, slightly below the anticipated $1.68 billion. The Prestige segment saw a 5% rise in revenue, while the Consumer Beauty segment struggled with a 3% decrease.

Despite mixed results, Coty revised its full-year earnings outlook for fiscal 2025, lowering its earnings per share guidance to $0.54-$0.57 from the previous range of $0.56-$0.60. Adjusted EBITDA growth is expected to be closer to the lower end of its 9-11% target. The company aims to maintain free cash flow growth in the low to mid $400 million range and reduce leverage below 3x by the end of 2024.
