The Disney Treasure cruise ship, captained by Voyager Minnie, is set to embark on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida, to the Caribbean next month. The ship is 221 feet tall, 1,119 feet long, and can carry 4,000 passengers and 1,555 crew members. Disney plans to double its fleet by 2031, with two new ships arriving in 2025. The company’s experiences division, which includes cruises, posted record revenue and profit for fiscal 2024, with revenue up 5% to $34.15 billion.

Disney’s growth in the cruise industry has been driven by its focus on storytelling and customer service. The Treasure offers themed dining experiences, curated lounges, and premium live entertainment. Guests dine at rotating themed restaurants, where the staff gets to know their preferences. Disney has integrated storytelling into services like upscale dining, pools, and spas, creating an immersive experience for guests.

The Treasure features restaurants inspired by Disney and Pixar films, such as “Coco” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guests can enjoy themed entertainment at Plaza de Coco and Worlds of Marvel. The ship also offers adult-exclusive dining options like Palo Steakhouse and Enchante, inspired by “Beauty and the Beast,” along with upscale lounges for pre-and post-dinner cocktails.

Disney’s Treasure brings intellectual properties from its parks to the open seas, including themed bars like the Haunted Mansion Parlor and Skipper Society. These adult-exclusive spots offer themed cocktails and snacks inspired by iconic attractions like Jungle Cruise. The ship caters to multigenerational travelers, with dedicated spaces for all age groups and Broadway-style productions like “Disney the Tale of Moana” at the Walt Disney Theatre. Additionally, the ship features amenities like Hero Zone, cinemas, Toy Story-themed areas, and the AquaMouse water coaster.
