Latin Metals acquires 71% ownership of gold-silver properties in Argentina

Latin Metals Inc. has completed payment obligations to acquire a 71% ownership interest in the Cerro Bayo and La Flora properties in Argentina, with an option for 100% ownership. The properties show potential for high-grade gold-silver deposits at accessible depths, similar to Newmont’s Cerro Negro mine.

The Cerro Bayo properties are located in the Deseado Massif region, known for gold-silver deposits. Latin Metals is working towards obtaining a drill permit and is seeking a partner for exploration activities in 2025. The properties exhibit signs of a shallow epithermal system with high-grade gold and silver concentrations.

Santa Cruz Province in Argentina is a prime mining region, contributing significantly to the country’s mineral exports. The province has a rich history of gold and silver production, with over 600 million ounces of silver and 20 million ounces of gold discovered since 1990.
