Elon Musk’s government efficiency panel plans to use recent Supreme Court rulings to reduce unnecessary federal regulations. Musk and Ramaswamy will lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), aiming to cut down on rules that exceed legislative power. With a conservative Supreme Court majority, they see an opportunity for significant downsizing in the federal government.

DOGE will present a list of regulations for President Trump to pause enforcement and review for rescission. Musk and Ramaswamy are working with the Trump transition team to hire a team of “small-government crusaders” to assist in this effort, in collaboration with the White House Office of Management and Budget.
