NVIDIA’s advancements in AI and accelerated computing are highlighted in the latest TOP500 list, with 384 systems powered by NVIDIA technologies. 46 new accelerated systems use NVIDIA Hopper GPUs for climate forecasting, drug discovery, and quantum simulation. NVIDIA also released cuPyNumeric at SC24 to enable developers to scale to powerful computing clusters seamlessly.
Researchers are embracing mixed precision floating-point operations and AI for scientific discovery. Using AI and mixed precision, projects at SC24 advanced genomics and protein design, showcasing the efficiency and adaptability of these tools. Researchers can now utilize NVIDIA BioNeMo to accelerate AI model creation and deployment for drug discovery and molecular design.
NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platform offers over 190 exaflops of AI performance and 17 exaflops of single-precision performance, making it the engine of scientific computing. Sustainability is also a priority, with NVIDIA systems ranking among the most energy-efficient supercomputers on the Green500 list. NVIDIA’s innovations balance high performance with energy efficiency for a more sustainable future.
