The Singapore stock market rebounded on Monday, with the STI gaining 0.47% to close at 3,572.04. Property stocks led the gains, while financial shares and industrials had mixed performances. The global market outlook is flat to lower ahead of the U.S. presidential election and the Federal Reserve rate decision. Wall Street closed in the red as traders remained cautious. Oil prices rose by about 2.85% on OPEC’s decision to delay production increases. Singapore will release September’s retail sales figures today, following a 0.7% increase in August. The Fed is expected to announce a 25 basis point rate cut on Thursday.
