U.S. stocks closed lower on Friday, with the S&P 500 down 0.70%, the Dow Jones losing 1.32%, and the Nasdaq falling 2.25%. Top performers included Walt Disney and Verizon, while Amazon and Amgen were among the worst performers.

Palantir Technologies and Walt Disney were top performers on the S&P 500, while Applied Materials and Omnicom Group were the worst. On the NASDAQ, CERo Therapeutics and Cyclerion Therapeutics were top performers, with Tff Pharmaceuticals and Eyenovia as the worst.

Shares in Palantir reached all-time highs, while Moderna hit 3-year lows. Tff Pharmaceuticals and Eyenovia fell to all-time lows. The CBOE Volatility Index rose 12.79%, and gold futures fell 0.26% while crude oil prices dropped.

In forex trading, EUR/USD remained stable, while USD/JPY saw a 1.24% decline. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 106.67.
