U.S. stock index futures rose Sunday, with focus on upcoming inflation data and Federal Reserve speakers for signals on Wall Street’s rally. Wall Street surged last week after Trump’s 2024 win and a Fed rate cut boosted sentiment. Futures rose 0.2% to 6,037.25 points, 0.4% to 21,306.0 points, and 0.1% to 44,186.0 points.

This week, focus is on October inflation data for signs of easing. Last week, the Fed cut rates by 25 basis points, tying future easing to inflation. Sticky inflation lately contrasts earlier declines, prompting speculation on rate outlooks. Fed officials’ speeches this week may offer clarity on rate plans.

Wall Street saw record highs post-Trump victory, as markets reacted positively. Trump’s pledge to cut corporate taxes and enact expansionary policies favor earnings. With a Republican majority in Congress, policy changes are likely. On Friday, the rose 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.1%, setting multiple records.
