Walmart is set to report earnings before Tuesday’s bell, with analysts predicting earnings per share of 53 cents and revenue of $167.72 billion for the fiscal third quarter. The holiday season outlook is uncertain, with inflation easing but concerns over tariffs and a shorter shopping period looming.

Holiday spending is expected to increase modestly this year, with the National Retail Federation forecasting a 2.5% to 3.5% rise in November and December compared to 2023. Walmart has seen growth in its grocery and online sales, raising its full-year forecast in August despite falling short of third-quarter earnings expectations.
