French stocks declined as Germany and France faced political and economic challenges. The National Assembly approved a special law to prevent a government shutdown in the absence of a 2025 budget. The law will serve as a temporary measure until the new Bayrou government drafts the proper budget bill, expected in early 2025. France’s central bank revised its 2025 growth forecast from 1.2% to 0.9% due to increased economic uncertainty. The CAC 40 index dropped 0.1%, while Airbus shares rose 1.5% following an upgrade by Deutsche Bank.
