From GlobeNewswire: 2024-12-04 07:00:00
Class 1 Nickel provides an update on its Alexo-Dundonald Nickel Sulphide Project in Timmins, Ontario. The Company has focused on refining the Project’s resource base with Caracle completing an updated 3D model and mineral resource estimate for the Dundonald North Deposit containing 1.8Mt at 1.01% Ni.
CEO David Fitch highlights the significance of the updates, aiming to expand and enhance mineral resources within the high-grade magmatic nickel sulphide deposits. The Company is pursuing a two-pronged exploration strategy focusing on high-grade nickel sulphide development and large-tonnage low-grade exploration.
Class 1 Nickel has made significant progress in exploration and development initiatives, including compiling a geological database, completing 3D geological modeling, and planning Phase 2 and Phase 3 drilling campaigns. The Company aims to target large-tonnage, low-grade nickel deposits and evaluate the potential for small-scale nickel production.
Exploration plans for 2025 include updating the Dundonald North geo-model, delineating high-grade mineral resources, conducting surveys, and initiating metallurgical studies. The Company’s Alexo-Dundonald Nickel Sulphide Project covers four nickel sulphide deposits with mineral resources open for expansion with additional drilling.
Class 1 Nickel is focused on advancing its Alexo-Dundonald Project back into production while continuing exploration on its extensive property package. The Project contains several nickel-copper-cobalt and PGE Mineral Resources, offering significant exploration upside. The Company also holds interest in the River Valley PGE Project near Sudbury.
