Fireweed Metals Corp. reported results of 15 drill holes from Boundary Zone and 9 exploration drill holes in the 2024 drill campaign at Macpass Project in Yukon, Canada. The holes primarily comprise zinc, lead, silver sulphide mineralization, and different styles of mineralization. Significant concentrations of germanium and gallium are associated with sphalerite mineralization.
Results of the drill holes included intervals of zinc, lead, and silver mineralization. The drill campaign provided opportunities for further exploration in 2025 and beyond. The intercepts expanded the current deposit and indicated untapped exploration potential in the area. The results were promising for the company’s future prospects.
CEO Peter Hemstead highlighted the success of the drill campaign, mentioning the completion of all 49 holes drilled in 2024. An updated public drill hole database is expected to be released in Q1 2025. The technical information in the news release was reviewed and approved by Fireweed Metals’ Senior Geologist, Ian Carr, P.Geo.
