Global airlines have raised their profit forecast for 2025, projecting revenues over a trillion dollars and 5.2 billion passengers despite supply chain woes. Difficulties at Boeing and Airbus have delayed jet deliveries, hindering growth. The industry is expected to generate $36.6 billion in net profit this year, up from $31.5 billion in 2024. Jet fuel prices are also expected to decrease, providing some relief to airlines. However, global conflicts and political uncertainties pose risks to the sector’s health. Passenger yields are expected to fall by 3.4% compared to 2024.
