Indonesia stock market ended losing streak, cautiously optimistic global markets, positive rally in U.S.

The Indonesia stock market ended a six-day losing streak, with the Jakarta Composite Index hovering above 6,980 points. Global markets are cautiously optimistic due to an improved outlook for interest rates, with European markets down and U.S. markets up.

On Friday, the JCI closed slightly higher, with mixed performances from financial and cement companies. The index rose 0.09 percent to finish at 6,983.87. Wall Street saw a positive rally, with the Dow up 1.18 percent, NASDAQ up 1.03 percent, and S&P 500 up 1.09 percent.

Oil futures rose on Friday as the dollar weakened, with West Texas Intermediate Crude oil settling at $69.46 a barrel.
