Japan stocks closed higher, with Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co Ltd leading the gains by rising 6.07%. However, Fujikura Ltd. was the worst performer, falling 5.45%. Sony Corp reached all-time highs, increasing by 4.12%. The Nikkei Volatility Index rose by 3.10%. Crude oil prices fell, with USD/JPY up 0.04% at 151.24.
