Melinda Whittington appointed as Chair of the Board at La-Z-Boy

La-Z-Boy Inc. announced Melinda Whittington as the new Chair of the Board, in addition to her role as President and CEO. Whittington has been with the company since 2021, previously serving as CFO. Michael Lawton, who has been Chair since May 2022, will return to his position as Lead Director. Lawton has been a director since 2013 and was previously EVP and CFO at Domino’s Pizza. Both Whittington and Lawton bring a wealth of experience to their roles, with backgrounds in finance and leadership at various companies. The changes aim to strengthen La-Z-Boy’s leadership team and strategic direction.
