Mustang Energy Corp. has acquired the Spur Project, a 100% interest in nine mineral claims totaling 17,929 hectares near the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan. The project is located 40 kilometers southeast of Cameco’s Key Lake Mill and shows potential for uranium and rare earth element exploration. Geological surveys indicate potential for basement-hosted uranium and REE mineralization. The acquisition aligns with Mustang Energy’s strategy of building a robust portfolio of uranium and REE assets in the Athabasca Basin to meet the growing demand for low-carbon energy solutions. Next steps include re-processing geophysical data and targeting high-grade mineralization with a maiden drill program.
