From GlobeNewswire: 2024-12-16 01:30:00
Nextensa has successfully sold the Brixton Retail Park in Zaventem, Belgium, to private investors for approximately 41 million euros. The park, with a total area of 15,072 m², has been a highly successful investment since Nextensa’s IPO in 1999, with high rental prices and full occupancy for the past 25 years.
Located strategically near the E40 highway to Brussels, the retail park includes seven shops and a private parking area with 16 Tesla Superchargers. Tenants benefit from green energy generated by solar panels on the building’s roof. This divestment aligns with Nextensa’s focus on sustainable mixed-use projects and reducing debt.
Nextensa CEO Michel Van Geyte sees the sale of Brixton Retail Park as a pivotal moment, allowing the company to concentrate on urban office and residential projects with a sustainability focus. The company’s investment portfolio spans Luxembourg, Belgium, and Austria, with a total value of approximately €1.3 billion as of September 30, 2024.
