NVIDIA opens its first research and development center in Vietnam to focus on artificial intelligence. The company will collaborate with the government to accelerate the adoption of AI, leveraging the country’s strong talent pool in STEM. The center will develop AI applications for industries like healthcare, education, transportation, and finance.
Vietnam’s rapid economic growth in technology, automotive, electronics, and textiles has made it one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. The country’s AI market has also been expanding, supported by government initiatives and technological advancements. Since 2021, Vietnam has prioritized AI development as part of its digital transformation strategy.
Vietnam’s Prime Minister emphasizes innovation as a key element of the country’s development strategy. The partnership between the Vietnamese government and NVIDIA aims to promote AI technology development in Vietnam, fostering an innovation ecosystem and positioning the country as a regional leader in R&D. NVIDIA has been investing in Vietnam’s technology ecosystem for eight years, collaborating with over 100 AI startups and 65 universities.
NVIDIA’s commitment to Vietnam’s tech ecosystem includes partnerships with Vietnamese AI startups and universities. The company’s Inception program supports over 100 AI startups in Vietnam, while collaborating with 65 universities in the country. Last year, NVIDIA partnered with FPT Smart Cloud as its first Vietnamese cloud partner.
