Pickleball is thriving in the US, with the average pay for women players in the Professional Pickleball Association exceeding $260,000, more than the highest-paid WNBA player. Pro pickleball players collectively earned over $30 million in salary alone, not including endorsements.
After a merger, the United Pickleball Association has seen significant growth, with sponsorship business increasing by 50% year-over-year and revenue projected to surpass $100 million in the next few years. Viewership and interest in the sport have also increased, with 320,000 fans attending events in 2024.
The UPA, in partnership with the Tennis Channel, saw over a billion minutes of pickleball watched in 2024. The league is focused on expanding media rights partnerships, growing the amateur business, and elevating pro players into household names in the sports world.
