Sachem Capital Corp. (SACH) has appointed Jeffrey Walraven as Interim Chief Financial Officer, following the resignation of Nicholas Marcello to pursue opportunities outside the REIT industry. Marcello will assist in the transition until December 31, 2024, with no disagreements on financial reporting. Walraven, also a board member, will step down from committees but continue as COO of RETT Freehold Properties and director of Broad Street Realty. With over 20 years of public accounting experience, Walraven previously held positions at MedEquities Realty Trust and BDO USA, LLP. The search for a new CFO is underway.
