Salesforce shares surged 9% after exceeding analyst expectations in fiscal third-quarter earnings. Revenue reached $9.44 billion, up 8% year over year, with a net income of $1.5 billion. Fourth-quarter sales are projected between $9.90 billion and $10.10 billion, with earnings per share expected at $2.57 to $2.62. CEO Marc Benioff highlighted the success of AI-powered chatbots called Agentforce. Benioff also shared his experience of rupturing his achilles tendon. Amy Weaver will step down as CFO, while activist investor Starboard Value remains optimistic about Salesforce’s future profitability.
