The letter gave Musk a 48-hour deadline to accept a monetary settlement or face charges. The SEC reopened an investigation into Neuralink over safety claims. Musk has a history with the SEC, including a $20 million payment in 2018. Lawmakers are also looking into Tesla’s self-driving claims. The letter called the SEC’s actions against Musk “six years of harassment.”
