The Singapore stock market rebounded on Friday, with the STI gaining 0.27 percent to close at 3,771.63. Financial shares, industrial issues, and REITs contributed to the index’s modest rise. The global market forecast for Asian markets is mixed to lower this week, with technology stocks likely to be a drag. Wall Street saw a negative close on Friday, with the Dow down 0.77 percent, NASDAQ down 1.49 percent, and S&P 500 down 1.11 percent. U.S. retail inventories, excluding autos, increased by 0.6 percent in November. Oil prices rose on Friday, with WTI settling at $70.60 a barrel.
