Sisecam acquires Ciner Group's shares in U.S. soda ash, aiming for global leadership.

Sisecam has acquired all shares of its partner Ciner Group in U.S. soda investments, moving closer to global leadership in the soda ash industry. The acquisition includes Pacific Soda LLC, which will produce 5 million tons of natural soda ash annually. Sisecam will pay $285 million 389 thousand USD for the shares, positioning itself as a key player in sustainable soda ash production. Global soda ash demand reached 66 million tons in 2023 and is projected to grow at a rate of 3% annually, with natural soda ash expected to increase to 40% of the market share by 2030.
