South Korean retailer Shinsegae Group plans to form a joint venture with Alibaba International. The venture will include Shinsegae’s 100% stake in South Korean e-commerce platform Gmarket. AliExpress Korea and Gmarket will be part of the new venture, set to be established in 2025. Both platforms will still operate independently.
