Taiwan stocks closed higher with various sectors gaining, including top performers Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd

Taiwan stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with gains in various sectors. The Taiwan Stock Exchange rose by 0.34%. Top performers included Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd, Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd, and China Container Terminal Corp. However, Arima Communications Corp, Lead Data Inc, and Young Fast Optoelectronics Co Ltd were among the worst performers.

Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd reached a 3-year high, rising by 10.00% to 29.15. Crude oil prices fell, with January delivery down to $67.94 a barrel. Brent oil for February delivery also decreased, while February Gold Futures rose to $2,689.69 a troy ounce.

In currency trading, USD/TWD remained unchanged at 32.43, while TWD/CNY saw a slight increase to 0.22. The US Dollar Index Futures dropped by 0.07% to 105.75.
