U.S. stocks close lower as Nasdaq drops 1.5%; mixed reactions from global markets.

U.S. stocks fell on Friday, with the Nasdaq leading the decline as 10-Year Treasury Note yields rose. The Dow closed down 333.59 points at 42,992.21, the S&P 500 lost 66.75 points to close at 5,970.84, and the Nasdaq dropped 298.33 points to 19,722.03. Despite the decline, the Dow posted a weekly gain of 1.4%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq saw gains of more than 1.5% each. Tesla, Apple, Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Netflix, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, and Micron Technology all closed lower. Economic data showed a rise in U.S. retail inventories and a fall in wholesale inventories for November. Asian stocks were mixed, while European markets closed higher.
