Under Armour has signed a multiyear deal to become the official uniform partner and performance outfitter for the startup basketball league Unrivaled. The league has attracted top players with attractive financial incentives, including equity, offering the highest average salaries in women’s professional sports league history. Unrivaled kicks off its inaugural season in Miami on Jan. 17, providing WNBA stars a domestic playing option during the offseason. Under Armour will provide performance apparel for all players, coaches, and staff, with footwear options for those without shoe deals. The deal reflects Under Armour’s focus on female athletes as part of its turnaround strategy.
