Zscaler, Inc. reported strong financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, with revenue growing 26% year-over-year to $628.0 million. Calculated billings also increased by 13% to $516.7 million, with deferred revenue reaching $1,783.7 million. The company reported a GAAP net loss of $12.1 million, compared to a net loss of $33.5 million in the previous year. Non-GAAP net income was $124.3 million, up from $86.4 million in the same period last year.
Zscaler’s cloud security platform reached a new milestone, processing over half a trillion daily transactions. The company appointed Adam Geller as Chief Product Officer to drive innovation. Zscaler also announced AI and Zero Trust integrations with CrowdStrike Falcon® and Okta, enhancing security operations. The Zscaler ThreatLabz report revealed a 45% increase in blocked IoT malware transactions.
For the second quarter of fiscal 2025, Zscaler expects revenue of $633 million to $635 million, with a non-GAAP income from operations of $126 million to $128 million. For the full fiscal year 2025, revenue is projected to be around $2.623 billion to $2.643 billion, with calculated billings of $3.124 billion to $3.149 billion. Non-GAAP net income per share is estimated to be $2.94 to $2.99.
Zscaler’s non-GAAP financial measures exclude stock-based compensation, amortization of intangible assets, and other specific expenses. The company believes these measures provide a better reflection of its ongoing operational performance. Free cash flow for the quarter was $291.9 million, representing 46% of revenue. Zscaler’s free cash flow margin remains a key indicator of its liquidity and ability to invest in strategic initiatives.
