Amazon's AWS invests over $5 billion in Mexico with new data centers, creating jobs and boosting GDP.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched the AWS Mexico (Central) Region, with plans to invest over $5 billion in Mexico over 15 years. The data centers in Mexico are available for developers, startups, enterprises, and more to run applications. A $300,000 AWS InCommunities Fund in Queretaro aims to support local projects.

The new AWS Region in Mexico is expected to add $10 billion to the country’s GDP and create over 7,000 full-time equivalent jobs annually. With this launch, AWS now has 114 Availability Zones across 36 regions, expanding its global reach and services.
