Australia stocks closed higher with the ASX rising 0.45%, led by gains in various sectors. Top performers included Omni Bridgeway Ltd, Nanosonics Ltd, and Tabcorp Holdings Ltd. However, Resolute Mining Ltd, Perenti Global Ltd, and Credit Corp Group Ltd were among the worst performers. The Sydney Stock Exchange saw more rising stocks than declining ones.

The volatility index for S&P/ASX 200 options decreased by 1.16%. Gold futures slightly dropped to $2,747.99 per troy ounce while crude oil prices fell, with March delivery at $77.37 per barrel for crude oil and $80.67 per barrel for Brent oil. The AUD/USD remained steady at 0.62, while the AUD/JPY rose to 96.93. The US Dollar Index Futures fell to 108.96.
