The Australian stock market is trading higher, with the S&P/ASX 200 surpassing 8,200 points. Gains are seen across most sectors, led by gold miners and energy stocks due to strong metal and crude oil prices. The benchmark index is up 0.37% to 8,231.10, while the broader All Ordinaries Index is up 0.33% to 8,493. Major miners like BHP Group and Rio Tinto are slightly down, while oil stocks are mostly higher. Among tech stocks, Zip is up over 1%, while big four banks are also seeing gains. Gold miners like Evolution Mining are up over 2%.

European markets, however, moved higher, with the FTSE 100 jumping 1.1%. Crude oil prices settled higher, with WTI futures ending at $73.13 a barrel, up 2%, on hopes of increased oil demand and a drop in U.S. crude inventories.
