Aya Gold & Silver Inc. has exceeded nameplate milling capacity at its Zgounder Mine in Morocco, reaching commercial production within two months of the new plant’s operation. The plant processed 65,990 tonnes of ore over 30 days, averaging 2,200 tpd with 85% silver recovery. Integration of flotation plant slurry has increased processing rates to over 2,900 tpd, aiming to stabilize above 3,000 tpd.

Soutex conducted a study showing the rapid ramp-up of Zgounder’s new plant to nameplate capacity, one of the quickest among over 100 mineral processing plants analyzed.
