Badger Meter acquires SmartCover for $185 million to enhance water management solutions

Badger Meter, Inc. (BMI) has acquired SmartCover from XPV Water Partners for $185 million, expanding its real-time water infrastructure monitoring capabilities. The deal, funded with cash, adds sewer line and lift station monitoring to Badger Meter’s BlueEdge suite. This move positions BMI in the emerging stormwater management sector in North America. Pre-market trading shows BMI at $208.58, up 0.03% on the NYSE.
